Do you have trouble getting at a high level in Antbuster? This will help you get past at least level 70, if not 90.

Step 1

The first thing you need to do is go to: http://rstein.org.
Click on the "Antbuster" picture to go to the game.
The reason you are doing this is because this is the original version of the game. This version will let you upgrade farther than any other version. (All cannons are more expensive than any other version but it's worth it to be able to upgrade farther).

Step 2

Click on "Play Game" to start the game. You now have ten seconds to start placing cannons. If you mess up, then click on the clock, then click on end match.

Step 3

Set up two cannons in front of the hole where the ants come out, keeping them towards the edge.

Step 4

Click on one of the cannons. At the bottom, some buttons should pop up.

Immediately upgrade these to Heavy Cannon 1 (Click the first button). Then upgrade them to Impact Cannon 1 (Click the second button).

Step 5

You should now have two Impact Cannons. Every time you get a new Quick Cannon 4, the speed and damage will increase by one.

Step 6

Save up enough money to add two more cannons ($167). Place these parallel to the Impact Cannons.

Step 7

Upgrade these two into Quick Cannons 1 (Click the middle button).

Step 8

Save up some more money ($160) and upgrade these into Quick Cannons 2 (Click on the first button).

Step 9

Here's where it starts to get expensive. Wait awhile, until you have enough to upgrade those two Quick Cannons 2 into Quick Cannons 3. It's definitely worth the price.

Step 10

Wait some more until you have $400. Click on the two Impact Cannons and upgrade the to Ice Cannons.

Step 11

Place two more cannons at the very edge of the screen next to the Impact Cannons.

Step 12

Upgrade those all the way to Quick Cannons 3.

Step 13

Now here comes the part you can't do in any other version. Upgrade the Quick Cannons into Quick Cannons 4.

Step 14

By now you should be at about level 55. Let's upgrade those ice cannons into Ice Cannons 2 so they will have better range and will freeze the ants faster.

Step 15

Just to make sure all of the ants are constantly frozen, lets add another Ice Cannon 2 just above all of the other cannons. By the time you get that third Ice Cannon 2, you should be at level 70, more or less.

Step 16

That's it for the Ice Cannons. The rest will all be Quick Cannons 4. So add another Quick Cannon 4 above the first two Ice Cannons. Now you should at least be at level 80.

Step 17

Try different combinations and different places to put your cannons. In this example, six ants were killed almost simultaneously. That means that six ants spawned almost simultaneously. All of them got past the cannons, picked up a slice of cake (regaining all lost health), and went through their hole. People have gotten to level 100 before with this strategy.

Tips

• Be careful when choosing where to place cannons. Where you place them will determine their effectiveness.
• There are many different strategies, but all of them that work will include ice cannons.
• It's not always necessary to upgrade ice cannons to level 2. It helps, but is very expensive.
• Here's a list of cannons you might want to try:
  • Missile Cannon - Does 96 to 120 damage
  • Ice Cannon - Slows down ants to 0.3 in./sec
  • Sniper Cannon - Fast, with basic damage being 12 if maxed
  • Triple Cannon - Fast and deals a lot of damage
  • Impact Cannon - Speed is good; damage is OK
  • Quick Cannon - Speed, frequency, damage, and range are extremely effective
  • Fire Cannon - Burns ants for a period of time
• When upgrading two or more cannons at a time, don't wait until you have enough money to upgrade them both at the same time. Upgrade one, then wait until you have enough money to upgrade the second one.
• When an ant with a lot of health is nearby, click on it to focus your cannons on it. Take it down to less than half the health so when it gets a slice of cake, it won't have full health.
• VERY IMPORTANT!!! If you reach at least level 80 or 75, concentrate the ant that is that same level (e.g. You're in level 75...an ant that is level 75 is in the "arena.") Target it, even if it doesn't have cake yet. If you kill that one ant you will gain a level. This is very effective if you want to reach high levels, but not very effective in amount of points you gain.

Warnings

• When an ant grabs a slice of cake, it will regain an amount of health equal to half of its max.
• Never place fire cannons and ice cannons together. Fire cannons will reverse the effect of ice cannons and vice versa.
• Don't click on an ant and leave it clicked until it dies (unless it has a slice of cake and if you have not reached level 80 yet). If you do that, your cannons won't shoot at anything else letting more ants get through your defense.
• Here is a list of cannons you never want to use:
  • Sonic Boom Cannon - Does practically no damage
  • Ice with Fire - Reverses the effects
  • Barricade - "Misc" - Too slow
  • Boomerang - Reloading time is too slow
  • Long Range Cannon - Speed is too slow
  • Machine Gun - Damage is scarce, and the speed is too slow
  • Lightning Cannon - Reloading is too slow
  • Laser Cannon - Reloading is too slow
  • Double Heavy Cannon - Reloading and speed are too slow
  • Heavy Cannon - Reloading and speed are too slow
• Try not to make more than 12 cannons unless you really have to, and that the 12 cannons are fully maxed. The cannon cost will soar to about $3000, and it will take a long time to even put another one on the grass.
